1. Nature of Activity & Assumption of Risk

Equestrian activities — including but not limited to roping, stock horse competition, groundwork, arena work, camping, and related activities — involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated. These risks include, without limitation: unpredictable behavior of horses and cattle; contact with animals, equipment, fencing, and arena surfaces; uneven or slippery ground; vehicles and trailers on the premises; and the actions of other participants, spectators, or animals.

By participating, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, and whether arising from the negligence of Live Equestrian LLC or otherwise.

2. Oregon Equine Liability Notice (ORS 30.693)

Under Oregon law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to ORS 30.687 to 30.697. You are assuming the risk of participating in this equine activity.

3. Release & Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Fiesta Ranch Roping & Stock Horse Competition, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Live Equestrian LLC, its owners, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, officials, agents, landowners, lessees, and all affiliated parties (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me while participating in or traveling to or from this event, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

4. Indemnification & Hold Harmless

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that they may incur due to my participation in this event, including any claims brought by or on behalf of any minor child or ward for whom I am signing this waiver.

5. Emergency Medical Consent

In the event of an accident or medical emergency, I authorize the Released Parties to seek and consent to emergency medical treatment on my behalf (and on behalf of any minor child or ward listed below) if I am unable to do so. I understand that I am responsible for all costs of such treatment.

6. Helmet Acknowledgment

I acknowledge that wearing an approved equestrian helmet is strongly recommended during all mounted activities. I understand that Live Equestrian LLC does not require helmet use but strongly encourages it, and I assume full responsibility for my decision regarding helmet use.

All terms of this waiver apply equally to each minor listed.
